Literary Award for Shoah Novel Won by Polish Jewish Editor
Piotr Pazinski, the editor of the Warsaw-based Midrasz, won the award for his novel "Pensjonat" ("Boarding House"), which was published in Poland in 2010.
Polish writer Piotr Pazinski is one of 12 laureates of this year European Union Prize for Literature. The names of the awardees were released Tuesday by the European Commission on the occasion of the Frankfurt International Book Fair.
Apart from EUR 5,000 prize the awardees will receive subsidies to their work translation from the EU Culture Programme to help them win readers outside their own countries.
